Amar'e surprisingly surging under new Knicks coach

"Carmelo Anthony may have been the one to run Mike D'Antoni out of town, but Amar'e Stoudemire ultimately could be the biggest benefactor. When Stoudemire left the Knicks following his brother's death, and Jeremy Lin took over, it appeared an ideal situation for Stoudemire to return to. Lin and Tyson Chandler were running the pick-and-roll beautifully, and with Stoudemire's range, it seemed he would add another option to the play that was the crux of D'Antoni's offense. Instead, he often times seemed lost when he got back. He was too willing to defer to Lin and Anthony, unwilling to take over games. Against the Bulls on March 12, Stoudemire had a blistering third quarter to keep the Knicks in the game with 13 points on 4-of-5 shooting. In the fourth, he shot the ball twice and scored two points; the Knicks lost."
